ABOUT ECS

ECS at a glance

Founded in 1973, Evangelical Christian School is a private, college preparatory, independent school. ECS is accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and Middle States Association (MSA). ECS is not affiliated with an individual church and has almost 100 local churches represented in the student body. An 11-member Board of Directors governs our school. Today, ECS is serving Southwest Florida families as the largest private school with around 1,300 students from preschool through 12th grade.

Our facilities are designed to provide each student the opportunity to receive a superior education. Our 28-acre campus is equipped with large classrooms, science labs, technology labs, music rooms, and specialty classrooms catering to fine and performing arts. The Sentinels Sportsplex boasts the largest indoor gymnasium in Lee County, turf football/soccer, baseball, and softball stadiums, 8 lane polyurethane material track with collegiate markings, weight training rooms, wrestling practice facility, indoor cheer facility, and customized basketball locker rooms.

By providing an optimized learning environment, our educators are able to challenge our students with a rigorous academic schedule that encourages critical thinking from a Biblical worldview. Key aspects of our comprehensive mission include character development, a Christ-centered college-prep curriculum including AP and honors classes, dual enrollment, fine and performing arts, athletics, daily Bible classes and weekly chapel.
