ECS at a glance

Founded in 1973, Evangelical Christian School is a private, college preparatory, independent school. ECS is accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) which is recognized by the state of Florida. ECS is not affiliated with an individual church and has over 100 local churches represented in the student body. An 11-member Board of Directors governs our school. Today, ECS is serving Southwest Florida families as the largest private school with more than 1,100 students from preschool through 12th grade.

Our facilities are designed to provide each student the opportunity to receive a superior education. Our 28-acre campus is equipped with large classrooms, science labs, technology labs, music rooms, and specialty classrooms catering to fine and performing arts. The Sentinels Sportsplex boasts the largest indoor gymnasium in Lee County, football/soccer stadium, 8 lane polyurethane material track with collegiate markings, baseball diamond, weight training rooms, wrestling practice facility, indoor cheer facility, and customized basketball locker rooms.

By providing an optimized learning environment, our educators are able to challenge our students with a rigorous academic schedule, that encourages critical thinking from a Biblical worldview. Key aspects of our comprehensive mission include character development, a Christ-centered college-prep curriculum including AP and honors classes, fine and performing arts, athletics, daily Bible classes and weekly chapel.
