COACHES HIGHLIGHT
Fred Kangwa - Varsity Tennis
Originally from Zambia, Africa, Coach Fred is now the Tennis Professional at the Forest Country Club in Fort Myers. He played college tennis at Morehead State, and then served as the captain of the African Davis Cup tennis team. In 2004, the United States Tennis Association in Florida recognized Fred for ten years of volunteer work on the tennis court. The United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) has awarded Fred the ranking of “Level 1 Professional.” This is the highest tested rating possible and is achieved by scoring in the 90th percentile on the USPTA Certification Exam. Fred is known for his outstanding teaching and communication skills. He is a wonderful Christian coach who encourages ECS student athletes to live for Christ both on and off the court.
