ECS at a Glance
LOCATION
Our campus is centrally located in the heart of Fort Myers, Florida, easily accessible from Route 41, between College Parkway and Colonial Boulevard. Just minutes away from Edison State College and 30 minutes from Florida Gulf Coast University, ECS is conveniently located near I-75, off exit 136.
FACILITIES The facilities are designed so that each student has the opportunity to receive the best quality education. The buildings are equipped with science and technology labs, large classrooms, and specialty classrooms catering to art, choir, and drama. ECS is a member of the FHSAA. The Sentinels Sportsplex offers the only dual court gym in Fort Myers, which allows our students to compete in indoor competitions. The on-site lighted football/soccer stadium provides ECS an opportunity to produce winning teams. The football/soccer field is surrounded by a 1/4 metric mile track that offers a competitive coed track program. We have an on-site lighted baseball diamond that has allowed ECS to host tournaments and have many winning seasons. There are both girls and boys Weight Training Centers, which are equipped to produce some of the best Christian athletes. Adjacent to the sports complex is an athletic office, referee room, locker rooms, and a concession stand.
GRADING
Evangelical Christian School has a stringent grading system. A’s are given for work outstanding in quality. Students may follow a rigorous or standard college preparatory program, depending primarily on the level of English, Math, History, and Science Courses they choose. Honors and Advanced Placement courses are designated on the transcripts.
GRADING POINT AVERAGE
Grade Point Average is cumulative. The GPA that appears on the transcript includes all courses taken in grades 9-12 and is weighted according to the scale below.

FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES
Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program rewards the state’s highest achieving and hardest working high school graduates. Profits from the state run lottery fund the scholarship program. Through Bright Futures, often times 75%-100% of tuition and fees are paid to a qualified high school graduate who enters an eligible Florida university, college, or certified vocational/technical program, including many private colleges and universities.
