Michael Higgins, senior from Evangelical Christian School, has
received his formal letter from the Superintendent of the Naval
Academy offering him an appointment and a "world-class four year
degree" and commission as an officer in the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps
upon graduation from the Naval Academy.

ECS recognized Higgins during chapel on December 8. Tricia Molzow a
representative from Congressman Mack's Cape Coral office was in
attendance as well as George Colom, Commandant of the Marine Corps
League. Commandant Colom presented Michael with a bottle of sand that
was taken from the beaches of Iwo Jima and used at the Veterans
Memorial in Cape Coral. This was a special moment in the ceremony.
