Enrollment at Evangelical Christian School
Any parent who desires a Christian education for their children is welcome to enroll his or her children at Evangelical Christian School. We believe that church membership is important; it is our belief that it takes three institutions to bring up a healthy child: home, school, and church. We have the privilege of educating children from more than 125 different churches in the greater Fort Myers area.Evangelical Christian admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to or may be available to students at the school. Evangelical Christian does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in admissions, policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletics, and other school-administered programs.Parents who desire to enroll their children at Evangelical Christian School should complete an application form. Once completed, an enrollment interview will take place with prospective parents meeting with a member of the Admissions Committee and/or Principal.
Capital costs associated with school (building, grounds improvement, etc.) are not covered by tuition payments. Funds are raised using a variety of methods to cover these costs. All parents are expected to contribute their resources (time, money, expertise) in a cooperative effort to be certain that our students have equipped, exciting places in which to learn.
At Evangelical Christian, we are committed to the idea that the cost of a Christian education should not be a barrier to a family who would like to give this gift to their children. Knowing that a tuition-based education can be financially difficult for some families, we have developed the following sources of financial aid:
Financial Aid for Student Tuition (FAST)
While the availability of school resources, the number of qualified applicants, and overall budgetary constraints influence financial assistance decisions, ECS is committed to making grants available to as many eligible applicants as possible. In an effort to make the process fair to all, ECS considers the following when making award decisions:
The primary responsibility for financing a student's education rests with the family.
In the case of divorce or separation, ECS requests both parents to file an application for financial assistance. ECS is not bound by any divorce agreement specifying a parent's responsibility for educational expenses.
ECS believes a family should invest in their child's education before elective expenses, for example, secondary home ownership, club memberships, and expensive car leases/purchases.
Financial Aid is available for those families who apply and qualify according to the financial guidelines. To apply, click here.
Evangelical Christian School adheres to the policies of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Please see the attached link for FHSAA details regarding financial assistance for athletes. As a Christian school, ECS believes it is our responsibility to strictly follow the the established guidelines and encourages families to become familiar with these FHSAA policies.
