Lower School

The Lower School at ECS promotes a nurturing environment that stimulates learning through a wide array of educational methods while remaining committed to academic excellence from a Biblical worldview. Our curriculum combines an academic foundation with a rigorous program that results in a consistent depth of knowledge across every grade level to benefit all learners.

The learning environment continually challenges students with different instructional methods such as: STEM, group projects, hands-on activities and daily electives. Students in K4-5th grade attend one of the following electives every single day: Art, Music, Computer, Library, and Spanish. They also participate in P.E. and recess on a daily basis. 5th grade students may choose band or choir for their music elective. Students in 6th grade have P.E. and elective everyday. The following electives are available for 6th grade: Band, Choir, Art, Drama, Study Skills, Spanish, and Video Production.

ECS fosters an environment for academic growth by challenging students with a wide variety of activities designed to enhance their learning experience. These activities include: 3rd-6th grade gifted program, FACCS Competitions in Creative Writing, Spelling Bee, and Fine Arts. As a result, our students consistently achieve high academic levels on standardized testing.

At Evangelical Christian School, we focus on the whole child by encouraging extra curricular activities with developmental sports, positive behavior system, character awards, and merit activities. Our parents, teachers, and students partner together to build a community with long lasting relationships.
