The JJJ Memorial Scholarship Fund is in honor of Joseph Marcelak, Jordan Sadler, and Jonathan Valentin, three Sentinels who were tragically lost in a single car accident less than a month after Jordan and Jonathan had graduated from ECS in 2014. Joseph had graduated in 2013. All three boys were good, godly kids who had a heart for helping others and demonstrated their love for Christ in how they lived. Joseph, Jordan and Jonathan were particularly moved by the plight of another ECS student and friend who faced leaving the school in his senior year due to financial hardships. The JJJ Memorial Scholarship Fund is inspired by this friend who the three J’s wanted to help finish school and graduate with the friends and teachers he had come to love. Who can qualify: The JJJ Memorial Scholarship Fund is awarded to help cover tuition at ECS for a current ECS Junior or Senior student who has to leave the school due to no fault of their own, whether it is due to financial hardship, divorce, or family tragedy. Like the three J’s, our desire is to keep a student from having to be uprooted from Christian friends and teachers during the important teen years which are foundational to their young adult life.
